How Do I Know If This Shirt Fits? | Measurements for Tops Explained

So you’re browsing pieceandsole.shop and you see this shirt you like. You wanna get it, but you don’t know if it’ll fit the way you want it to. We know the feeling. Thankfully, it won’t take you long to figure out.

Grab your measuring tape, a shirt (for a reference point), and follow these two steps!

Width (pit to pit)

The width (or pit to pit) measurement is taken from the bottom stitch of one underarm to the other.

Length

The length measurement is taken from the side of the collar (or neck hole) on down.

How does this work for other tops like blazers, crewnecks, hoodies, jackets, etc.?

For long-sleeve tops, you can repeat the same steps. Typically whenever the body measurements for a garment mirror each other so do the shoulders and sleeves. However, if you feel the need to measure and/or request the measurements of the sleeves, do not hesitate to do so.
